Colleen Walker is the President, CEO and co-founder of Catered Affare, Cuisine and Event Design and Evolving Events International.

Colleen and her husband, partner Robert Hudyma who met as Culinary Management students at George Brown College have successfully started and grown Catered Affare for the past 19 years into one of Toronto's largest and most successful catering and event planning firms.

Colleen is a proud graduate of the Culinary Management Program, George Brown College and the Hospitality and Tourism program at Ryerson University. She sits on the Sector Council for the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at George Brown College and was an active participant in obtaining the joint degree designation for George Brown and Niagara College.

She has served on the Advisory Board for the School of Hospitality at Ryerson University for over eight years (1997- 2004) and chaired the Strategic Planning committee. She was the proud recipient of the “2005 Industry Award” in recognition of her significant support to the school.

In pursuit of always raising the standards of the industry: Colleen was the founding President of the Canadian Association of Caterers. A couple of years later, she was instrumental in merging the Americans and Canadians together to become the International Caterers Association and served on the International Board two years.

Colleen mentored in the Women Entrepreneurs Step Ahead Program for three straight years, helping women entrepreneurs to grow their companies. She served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs, been an active member of the Women Entrepreneurs of Canada, and has served as an Honorary Business Ambassador for the Province of Ontario.

Colleen was a featured guest on ”The New Economy” a show about the impact of women entrepreneurs on the Canadian economy and “ The Occasion” which aired internationally on WTN. Colleen is a sought after and highly regarded speaker and expert in her field. She has spoken throughout Canada and the US on catering and entrepreneurship.

As this 25 year veteran and graduate will tell you “you are only as good as your last party “and thus she is very proud of her team for being the four time winners of BEST CATERED EVENT IN CANADA (2000-2003) and winner of BEST WEDDING IN CANADA (2004) at the Canadian Event Industry Awards.

Colleen is a very proud mother of two teenage girls.

Robert Hudyma

Robert is the Vice President, Chief Culinary Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Catered Affare Fine Foods Inc. He holds a diploma in Culinary Management from George Brown College and has over 20 years experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

With a keen sense for detail he strives for the best and asks the best of his employees. A mentor and motivator, many of his past employees have gone on to own and operate their own establishments. His creative and hands on approach to food and to adapting new styles and trends to catering have earned him respect throughout the catering industry. Robert has been a guest chef at many hospitality conferences in both Canada and the United States.

He is also an avid outdoorsman and explores his passion for minerals and gems. Much of his time is taken up raising his two daughters.
